At 11:46 PM, Anonymous said...: Early this year I received a summons for jury service. When calling the court to inquire about it, the first words from the automated message were "For jury instructions in English, press 1..."

A court has no business accommodating prospective jurors who lack fundamental English skills. No defendant can count on a fair trial if a juror is incapable of following the deliberations, and incapable of deliberating, properly.

It's cowardice, madness, and suicide.
