As for the Rev. Wright, Richardson and Andrew Sullivan are on the same page (maybe they were reading from the same page?) when they say that Wright isn't running for office. Sullivan:
Obama needs not just to distance himself from Wright's views; he needs to disown him at this point. Wright himself, it seems to me, has become part of what Obama is fighting against: the boomer, Vietnam era's obsession with its red-blue, white-black, pro and anti-America fixations. That is not what this election needs to be about; and Wright's massive, racially divisive and, yes, bitter provocation requires a proportionate response.Obama's not about to do that.
Sullivan doesn't believe that Obama shares in Wright's beliefs.
I have to disagree. Obama's been hearing Wright preach this for decades, and he has a long list of hateful friends.
Of course, one can't also discount this possibility: Is the Stage Being Set For the All-Time Sister Souljah Moment?
After all, Obama already threw grandma under the bus.

One of the things that Rev. Wright's interview revealed that was so dismaying was the strongly made suggestion that there are two truths. The real one or rather the secret one that is only available to the true believers and the public or political one that is used in furtherance of the good cause. I'm still searching through the Bible, Proverbs mainly, for the justification that lying or hiding the truth is acceptable.
Of a minor note is the shift in the description of Trinity UCC from being a multiracial church to now being identified, by Wright and his defenders, as a "...black church."
Pat, it's not in the Bible. You'll find it in that other book that starts with a 'K.' Search on 'kitman' or 'taquiyya' - here's two brief definitions. JihadWatch has more.
Very muddy, I agree. But if Louis Farrakan is his hero, it all begins to make sense.
