Therefore it was only a matter of time before this was announced: Report: Jimmy Carter to Meet With Hamas Leader in Syria
Former President Jimmy Carter is reportedly preparing an unprecedented meeting with the leader of Hamas, an organization that the U.S. government considers one of the leading terrorist threats in the world.Well, while Jimmy's in the vicinity, he might as well drop by Bashar's, who Nancy remembers so fondly:
The Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter was planning a trip to Syria for mid-April, during which he would meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on April 18.

Meshal, who lives in Syria to avoid being arrested by the Israeli government, leads Hamas from his seat in Damascus, where he is a guest of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
Because, after all, few things spread the virtues of democracy like kissing up to murderous thugs.

An absolutely despicable human being. I didn’t think it was possible that he could be a worse ex-president than he was a president, but he’s somehow managed to do so with dazzling aplomb.

The thing about Carter is, just when you think he can't get any worse, he does.
It's only a matter of time before he goes to Zimbabwe to help Mugabe steal the election there. Jimmah Carter is a disgrace and the butthead lives in my statre, Georgia. Fah!
Indeed, Denny. The results aren't in yet, and the election was days ago. Perfect for Jimmah certification.
Ironically, when he was President, he did not always kiss up to tyrants. He certainly got on the Videla junta's case.
It really is nice to see Mr. Carter's friendly face now and again. The bad is to remind myself that I actually voted for that git. The good is that on Nov. 1st of 1976 I knew positively that I had made a mistake and my connections to the left were irrevocably broken.
But then the Killer Rabbit story might never have occurred if Mr. Ford had won so there are still certain caveats. And those long talks about nuclear war with the rumored 15th Dalai Lama, Amy Carter. Priceless!
That should have read Nov. 3rd. Realizing how bad a president he was going to be the day before the election and still voting for him doesn't exactly flatter my acuity.
