Good news. Just one question - What did Ortega have to do with this?

Oh - Well, what happened was that Ortega, who's also in Hugo's pocket, decided to break diplomatic relations with Colombia the other day.
Not quite earth-shattering news.

I would've thought it was the other way around since this is Ortega's second go-around at power.

The rumor I heard was that in the rush to obey Pres. Chavez's ten battalion promise the army forgot to bring diesel, ammunition and compasses. They, like Lope de Aguirre, are wandering down the river still searching for El Dorado and begging for MREs.

And the army also got held up by a taxi strike on the highway on the way to the border, Pat.

That definitely shows that fiction often does not even come close to mirroring reality. Patton would have shot the drivers, er mules, and sent the Shermans, the Pershings and the 105mms on the way.

Let not forget, Pat, that Patton was fighting in a real war.
