Saturday afternoon advice,
... for my friend J., this is why I don't:
Men were deceivers ever,
One foot in sea and one on shore,
To one thing constant never:
Then sigh not so, but let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into Hey nonny, nonny.
Sing no more ditties, sing no moe,
Of dumps so dull and heavy;
The fraud of men was ever so,
Since summer first was leafy:
Then sigh not so, but let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into Hey nonny, nonny.

I like that! Good advice, too. :)
And it works for me ;-)
Sobering. (That, or else an excuse to reach for the bottle.)
LOL!
Don't take the "men are deceivers ever" part too hard, JMK. As I see it, the more important point is that it's better to stop trying to control people and start having the best life one can make for oneself. That's when good things start to happen, not when you're trying to control others.
