APDD strikes again: "Castro said to seek re-election in 2008"
On October 1, 2005 I defined Associated Press Deficit Disorder as
the innatention of Associated Press and other news agencies to the actual words said by a person who doesn't fit what AP wants to hear.In this particular case, the words are that Fidel Castro is a dictator that came into power through the use of force.
Will Weissert of AP wants you to think otherwise: Castro said to seek re-election in 2008
Fidel Castro will be in "perfect shape" to run for re-election to parliament next spring, the first step toward securing yet another term as Cuba's president, National Assembly head Ricardo Alarcon said Thursday. As if there had been free elections in Cuba since Castro came to power.
As Zivainla said
This article is an abomination. Fidel Castro has never been elected, there are no free elections in Cuba and to imply otherwise is disingenuous. Every Human Rights organization denounces the appalling lack of Human Rights in Cuba. Shame on your writer for this piece of propaganda and shame on AP for not exercising responsible editorial authority.

By the way, the link to the article breaks everytime I try to read it, maybe that's a signal for above for us just to mock that turdhead of a writer!
where was this bozo that didn't hear of it????
And he believes Alarcon, too.
You just can't make up this stuff.
Talnik,
Because both he and the elections are in the same shape of perfection!
Must be the magical Cubano water that can run a CORPSE for office...
People, people! Whadda ya expect from the AP - Associated Prostitutes?? Hm?? After all, fidel is the king of jineteras...hmm...does that make raul the queen of jineteras?
Fausta, your point is immaterial as I have been and will always be happy to certify any election in Castro's Cuba.

Ah ha ha! That's funny. Fidel "Cat Got My Tongue" Castro is campaigning for "dictatorship" of Cuba. He is running for his office, that he has had for 48 YEARS. How many terms can you serve in this so-called "Government" or "Parliament" Ah ha ha!!!. You see people this is how they work. "Next March", "2008" !! Like they are going to be around next year. The Castro Regime will go down very soon, I say before next March. They are in deep trouble now, they are FINISHED!! Jose Reyes (Cubanology.com)
