Venezuela: The Chinese embassy job

Wait until Cheng finds out:
Chinese embassy office in Venezuela robbed of over 14,000 U.S. dollars
At 10 a.m. local time [on Saturday Nov. 11], eight armed men, without masks, broke into the office and threatened the Chinese diplomatic staff with guns. They ordered the staff to hand over the key to the office safe before binding their arms and legs with ties and telephone wires.

Twenty minutes after they had broken in, the men made off with 10,000 U.S. dollars in cash and 4,000 U.S. dollars of local currency. No one was injured in the incident.
At least Hugo had an alibi, since he was helping Shakira get a venue for her concert:
"Maybe I'll put on a wig and go see Shakira."
Accessorize, accessorize, I say! Add a man bag, matching shoes and belt, and you'll be all set, Hugo.

The Chinese, however, weren't distracted by Shakira:
Chinese public security officials on Monday met with Venezuelan military officers and asked the police to step up their investigations into the case.

The Chinese side also called for stronger measures to ensure the security of Chinese citizens, diplomats, organizations and companies in Venezuela.
We'll see if the authorities catch the eight robbers and return the $14,000.

Or maybe the robbers are already on their way to China by now.

It is beyond comprehension how armed gangs could break into a diplomatic post that easily as you have mentioned. Perhaps Hugo is focusing on America while there are many problems in his country that has remained unsolved.

Particularly when China is such a presence in the Caribbean.
