Note to Obama: It wasn't just diplomacy

L. sent this article, Obama Lumps Clinton, McCain Together, Then Touts Former First Lady.

What caught her attention was the following:
"I don't want to just end the war, I want to end the mindset that got us into war. I want to initiate diplomacy. [President Richard] Nixon understood" the importance of diplomacy, Mr. Obama said, as did Presidents Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy, he asserted.
Kennedy blew it on the Bay of Pigs and Nixon signed over a defeat, but Reagan was successful by winning the arms race over the Soviet Union.

Doesn't it seem odd that the left-most Democratic candidate is citing Nixon and Reagan as examples? This has got to give his cultists gas.

Yes - isn't that telling of him!

Obama needs a history lesson--Reagan's form of diplomacy (which I adored by the way) was to make sure the "enemy" knew he was not afraid to blow their collective butts to kingdom come if it came to it. We outspent Russia in defense buildup and Russia's economy went into the toilet-then he exerted his voice and forced them to back down.

Obama is talking about going to the Middle East and having tea with the terrorists much like Carter did last week--he is truly an idiot.
